About Me
About Me
Decluttered Living is owned and operated my Christin Reed.
I grew up in Southeast Texas until I got married at 19 and moved 12 hours away to Southern Illinois (crazy, I know😅). I then moved to Baton Rouge after getting a divorce at 24 years old in 2017.
Not long after being in BR I met my now husband Justin. If you’re around any length of time you will quickly find out that we are a TEAM. If I can’t do it, Justin can.
Although we don’t have any bio kids, were foster parents as of 2024. We are honored to help love and nurture each child that comes into our home. And I’m a big advocate for foster care.
In addition to Decluttered Living I own Magic of a Nanny, where I offer as needed childcare needs.
The 2 business keep me busy more than full time! I am so blessed to turn my hobbies and passions into my full time career.
Before doing this I was an Insurance Agent for 10 years!
Each client is very special to me, watch out I might friend ya! 😜
I have always helped friends, family, and co workers who needed help in their space decluttering and organizing.
I’m the girl they called! I have many many years of experience with being gentle and caring for my clients while also guiding them in the right direction to meet their goals.
My goal to be your extra set of hands. To keep the job organized, and keep you on task. The ULTIMATE goal is for each item to have a HOME.
While I don’t call myself a professional organizer I’m a professional and I organize😜. But I’m not your girl that comes in and measures your drawers and does a personal shopping trip to make your space Pinterest worthy.
Now, if you would like to take the initiative to do the above, I will GLADLY help execute the plan.
I’m your, get down and dirty girl!
I’m your, let do this now instead of putting it off girl!
I’m your, let’s take a pic and ask if Aunt Susie actually wants this dress you’re saving for her girl!
No more procrastination, I’m your accountability!
I’m your new friend. Yes I’ve seen it all, no you don’t need to be embarrassed. Let’s just laugh it off and move on.
I truly can’t wait to work with you!

WHAT DO I DO WITH CLIENT DONATIONS?
This is a question I get almost daily. What do I do what all the items we purge?
If I have the time I will offer to take your donations for you. But instead of dropping them off to a store I actually take them home and go through them. I started a Facebook group (Free Baton Rouge) where I post the donations and arrange for them to be picked up. In addition to that I also donate anything I can to our local Foster Care Closets. There are a few non profit foster closets that collect donations and store them. And when foster parents get a new placement they allow us to come “shop” for the children for FREE!
They have been a huge blessing to our family and I love to be able to give back.
Helping others is truly a passion of mine. And I volunteer my own time to make it happen.
